Moment # 35

All the time she continued to drift between dreams and memories. Finally when she woke up, it was dusk. Her eyes kept waiting for the shoreline

Moment # 33

They did not get to see each other for decades….. His longing for her gave way for adventures. Her love for him created folklores. The bond was made of unknown elements. The affinity remained a mystery. Their story never ended.

He traveled the world after that-- kept drifting from time to time, from place to place. Life was meaningful yet anchorless. The anchor was left behind, frozen in the ice of time. Only the thought of spring haunted, when the ice would melt. He was more at ease with the winter inside him.

Moment # 26

The inevitability does not threaten. The certainty does not sap the thrill. The long intervals never matter. The distance never changes a thing. The earth awaits the monsoon. The rain falls, rightfully. Every time they meet, wonders happen. Shorty stories, tiny stories,

Balloons and bubbles, remote cars and bikes, storybooks and color pencils, cartoons and 3Ds, a playground and friends, surprises and giggles, KFCs and Dominos, school and teachers, a home and a father. The kid has it all. He laughs a lot. He studies well and is always in competition. But often comes a moment when he lies, about one thing, repeatedly. “I don’t have mother.” She had to leave. And his little heart couldn’t fathom why. tiny stories, stories in moments, shortest stories, lifetime in a moment, moments, moments in life

Moment #23

Every time he used to get an extra roasted papad. The Sundays of mid-July were meant for hot Khichudi and potato stir-fry. The smell used to pull him to kitchen before lunch time. Between the heavy showers in Kolkata, the venture was often turned into a quest of a quick cuddle. “This year the monsoon is too cold.” Tears trickled down from his eyes. The view was clear now. He started counting the raindrops on the windowpane.

Bad grade. Aged 5 and a half. Papa scolded. Mom had smacked quite hard. Teachers weren't kind enough. "Suspended from school due to lack of seriousness." Room is dark. Tom and Jerry still quarrelling inside stomach. It’s monsoon. stories in moments, tiny stories, Monsoon, lifetime in a moment, shortest stories,

Moment # 21

The cake came out of the oven looking perfect! “You and cooking!” He imagined the amazed look on her face! “Now, the icing… the most important part!” He told himself. He wanted her birthday to be special, the best of their 5-year old live-in relationship. He poured his heart into those two words, “Marry me!” He did not notice her watchful eyes, did not hear her heart murmuring a “Yes!!!” …already, moments, moments in life, shortest stories, tiny stories, stories in moments, http://pintsizedstories.blogspot.in/, cooking, memories, lifetime in a moment
